Preface

Approaching the gate of the 21st century, technologies of audiovisual multimedia in modern daily lives develop rapidly in every aspect. Churches and believers should better utilize these new technologies as tools for the purpose of preaching evangelical gospel. As foreseeing this good opportunity, Mr. David Chi Beng Yap, the former president of the World Association for Chinese Church Music (WACCM), had established a non-profit Song-In Hymnmaster Foundation, Inc. in the Philippines for the production of CD, VHS and VCD HymnKaraoke and has authorized Hong Kong Holy City Gospel Media Co. Ltd. to publish and to distribute these products.
 

Purposes of Establishing HCGMC.

Hong Kong Holy City Gospel Media Co. Ltd. (HCGMC), a non-profit Christian organization, was founded by a group of visionary, zealous Christians viewing on one hand the increased variety of secular, unhealthy audiovisual multimedia products in the market and on the other hand the slow development of multimedia in the Chinese Christian-world that can't meet the needs of Chinese believers. Those young, new believers in churches who have an unstable foundation in the Bible are greatly influenced by an unsound belief. This gives a result that is difficult in upgrading the qualities of Christian life and maintaining church attributes. HCGMC hopes to create an audio-visual medium format on those inspiring sacred songs familiar to most people. Thereby it enhances the subconscious belief-influencing functions by means of sight, hearing and singing. HCGMC also encourages church fellowships to organize praise meetings in the appreciation of hymns. In addition, the non-Christian family members or relatives could also be touched by the inspiring lyrics when watching or singing together. We are very grateful for many church-song forerunners, pastors and church elders who contribute their precious concerns and enthusiastic support as the advisors of the company.
